Chris Mooney is the current Group Managing Director and founder of the Planet Green Corporation, Smart Plastics and Select Speakers Bureau.
Chris has used his entrepreneurial flair to build a successful career in developing the seeds of ideas into viable business platforms and successful enterprises. All his ideas have been underpinned by his philosophies of expansion, growth, collaboration, efficiency and teamwork.
He established International Celebrity Management (ICM) in 1986, which went on to become Australia’s leading corporate Speakers Bureau bringing such esteemed people as Nelson Mandela, Sir Bob Geldof, Condoleezza Rice, Alan Greenspan and General Norman Schwarzkopf to Australia.
Chris has also held the position of Chief Operations officer at The Gillon Group for several years, where he worked in residential, commercial and industrial development and construction, and associated businesses in the areas of hospitality, retail, manufacturing, industrial tooling and logistics.
It was during this time Chris first visited India and set up a solar water purification unit for the Banyan Charity for Intellectually Disabled Women just outside of Chennai. This was the first of multiple trips to India, both to engage in volunteer work and business activities, including performing a key role in establishing and co-ordinating ‘India To the Max’ in 2008.
Chris is an active member of the local and wider community, which is exemplified by the position of Foundation director of the Victoria Day Council - an independent, non-political organisation which supports Victorian charities and individuals in fields such as commerce, the arts, sport, and community
