VISION : Australia and India have many opportunities for collaboration. The relationship has not developed to the extent of its potential and much of this is to do with not taking the time to understand each other. Building any relationship is a marathon, a long term play at whatever level the interaction is. Because of our shared Commonwealth heritage, we have taken each other for granted and not taken the time to appreciate our cultural & social differences. Its not too late since the opportunities to deal with India in the next 20 years will be very significant, and the AIBC can still play a leading role in bridging this gap provided the everyone works towards a common goal.
