Jodi McKay

Jodi was elected as the National Chair of the Australia India Business Council (AIBC) in 2022 – an exciting time in the India Australia relationship. She has been closely involved in the emerging bilateral trade and investment dialogue, while also engaging closely with federal and state governments and businesses in Australia and India. Jodi is also widely acknowledged for her support of the Indian diaspora in Australia.

She is deeply respected for her work over 15 years as a Member of Parliament – where she served as a cabinet minister and Opposition Leader in New South Wales.

Jodi is a member of the Advisory Board of the Centre for Australia-India Relations (CAIR), a national platform established by the Australian government to support and facilitate greater collaboration and engagement with India.

She is also a Vice Chancellor’s Fellow – South Asia for Western Sydney University – where she advances education, industry and research outcomes and champions Australia’s growing Indian diaspora.

Jodi has over 20 years of executive and non-executive experience in non-profit and full profit Australian entities. Her love of the saree is well known, and she was the first woman to wear a saree into an Australian Parliament.

Jodi is based in Sydney.
