Tamanna has recently been appointed as the AIBC National Advisor for Exports, Investments and Bi-later Business Connect and brings with her many years of experience in many industry and market strategies.

Tamanna is an export, investment, and economic development professional and thrive on ‘empowering businesses to grow’. She is a humble advocate of collaboration, partnerships and sovereign capability and has led major projects, implementing transformational projects that contributed to building globally focused Australian industries to export and attract investment. Tamanna has also been instrumental in industry and market strategies, including development of Defence Industry Strategies and Defence Industry Summits. Has also formed industry clusters including defence, manufacturing, infrastructure, and resources, marine, agri-food and international education and training.

She has in-depth knowledge of business maturity pathways for SMEs, experience in designing and implementation of capability and capacity building programs, strategy, and export development initiatives across all priority industries in Australia and helps businesses of all sizes to grow their journey to become globally successful.  She worked in senior roles across corporate and public sectors in Australia and overseas and networked and engaged with cross sectoral and government stakeholders and worked at Trade and Investment Queensland, Business and Skills Migration, Office of Clean Energy at Queensland Government, Economic Development at Ipswich City Council, University of Queensland, and American Express Bank.

An advocate of human, social and economic development, Tamanna continuously initiates ways to raise profiles of women and disadvantaged groups. Tamanna is Queensland Chair of the Women in Business of Australia India Business Council, founder of Women in Export, Innovation and Investment, and Tradition by T, a boutique small business that raises profiles of handwoven industry to the world.  Also became a Finalist as Female Defence Leader 2021 for contribution to Australia’s First Defence Industry SME Capability Program. In 2020 Tamanna won the Defence Connects Australian Defence Industry Award for Rising Star of the Year.
