Vish Viswanathan – Chair for Make In India Chapter
Vish Viswanathan (Vish) is a long-standing member of the Australia India Business Council (AIBC) and serving both as a Management committee member of AIBC NSW and the National Chair of Make in India Chapter of the AIBC.
Vish is passionate about the “Make in India” visionary program launched by Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India and is actively involved in promoting “Make in India” Focus Group in AIBC with the objectives of
- Active Participation & contribution by AIBC members across various disciplines.
- More industry/ corporate/ Government participation and support by Industry groups
- Measurable outcomes on specific projects
Vish is committed to promote the Australia India Business and Trade and participated in many AIBC initiatives. As Country Manager of International Business Division of the Department of Public Works & Services, NSW Government Vish was involved in the transfer of Water & Waste Water treatment technology to the Government of Karnataka in Bangalore India.
An electronic engineer by profession Vish has 47 years of experience 17 years with leading Indian business groups such as the TATAs and KELTRON, Government of Kerala and over 30 years with NSW Government as senior procurement specialist roles managing high value and sensitive procurements in many industry categories.
