The Australia India Business Council (AIBC) recently hosted its End of Year Networking Session at the iconic NSW Parliament House, in partnership with the NSW Parliamentary Friends of India. The event brought together industry leaders, AIBC members, and partners to foster meaningful connections and collaborations between Australia and India.
We were honoured to welcome Mr Warren Kirby MP, Member of the Legislative Assembly and Chair of the NSW Parliamentary Friends of India. Mr Kirby highlighted the importance of the NSW/Australia-India close relationship. He said it was not only about boosting trade and investment between the two countries, but also the ties that are created between people in these bilateral connections. He noted the dedication and ongoing efforts of the AIBC in the growing Australia–India economic and strategic relationship.
Ms CharishmaKaliyanda MP, Member for Liverpool touched on her personal and her family’s journey as immigrants, her connection to the Liverpool community and the importance of the Indian diaspora in the community and acknowledged the strong role and impact created by AIBC in the bilateral engagements.

AIBC was well represented by past National Chairs and Industry Forum leads and the AIBC NSW Management committee members along with our Govt and Industry partners and business chambers represented including CGI Sydney, Investment NSW and HunterNet.
Gunjan Pagare from Commonwealth Bank of Australia as our co-host for the evening proposed the Vote of Thanks highlighting a very significant year of 2025 with great outcomes looking ahead into 2026 being AIBC’s 40th year since inception.
The Indian business delegation from Tamil Nadu, Bangalore, Dubai and Qatar were present including delegates from Jubilant Tamil Nadu 2026 were also represented at this event who extended a warm invitation to our AIBC Members and Industry partners to attend the JTN 2026 conference in India.
