Namrata Datt is a senior business leader with over three decades of experience in India and Australia. She is Founder & Director, Lotus Advisers, a consultancy which offers end-to-end advisory services and execution support to help Australian businesses access the Indian market; and build successful partnerships in the Australia-India business and manufacturing sectors. Namrata divides her time between Australia and India.

Namrata has a deep understanding of the Indian market and strong relationships/network in the business eco-system in Australia and India across varied regions, industries and domains. She is also a regular speaker on doing business in India.

She has advised a leading state government in Australia on business opportunities in India, peak industry bodies on market entry pathways and advised Australian businesses on India market research/feasibility, identification of potential local partners and enabled partnerships.

Namrata has a strong professional background and until the year 2021was National Director – Markets and the National Leader for Brand Marketing & Communications at global consulting firm, EY India. Her role was focussed on achieving both brand, partnerships and business outcomes, engaging closely with businesses, government, industry bodies, media and the wider community. Namrata also has significant experience in research and authoring of detailed reports in EY, where she led the flagship India Attractiveness Survey Program for several years.

She has also served as a senior business journalist/editor in two of India’s leading Indian media houses, The Times of India and Business India magazine, where she authored several detailed reports on Indian industry, sectors and corporate houses.

Namrata has a Master’s in International Business from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade in New Delhi, India and is also an alumnus of the Times School of Journalism, New Delhi, India.
