A productive first meeting for the newly elected Australia India Business Council (AIBC) Victoria Committee with the Consulate General of India, Melbourne.
President Assoc. Prof Dhara Shah (PhD), Vice President Richa Jain, Treasurer Prakash Gupta, Executive Secretary Shanta Roy S, Sharbani Dhar GAICD, Shwetali Sawant, Nisha Bajaj, Daisy Chhokar and Niliesh Bansal were honoured to meet Shri Anish Rajan, Consul General of India in Melbourne.
The dialogue focused on strengthening the trade and business relationship between Australia and India, exploring new opportunities for collaboration, and creating meaningful pathways for businesses and communities in both countries.
As AIBC celebrates its 40th year—and India commemorates 80 years of independence—we look forward to building on this strong foundation and advancing the Australia–India partnership through innovation, enterprise and shared purpose.
We also discussed the upcoming Australia India Address, taking place on 1 September in Melbourne, featuring Nuno Matos, CEO of ANZ, as the keynote speaker, alongside distinguished dignitaries and business leaders.
We look forward to welcoming the business community to this important occasion and to continuing the conversation on the future of Australia–India trade and investment.
