AIBC along with the Consul General of Indian in Sydney co-hosted the Vibrant Gujarat delegation for a showcase event spotlighting opportunities in the state of Gujarat, as also an official reception for the high-level visting team, led by Dr Anju Sharma, the Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Gujarat.
The delegation was in Australia to extend an invitation to Australian businesses and governments to participate in the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit and Trade Expo from 9 -12 January 2024 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
We curated an event showcasing the emerging opportunities in Gujarat, widely regarded as one of the most investor friendly states. Sectoral opportunities were highlighted in education and skills, financial services and fintech, clean energy renewables, mining and resources, METs, IT, emerging critical technology and startups.
Attendees included business leaders and government including Austrade, DFAT, Centre for Australia-India Relations (CAIR), Australia-India CEO Forum, Study NSW, TAFE NSW, Investment NSW, Business NSW, Export Council of Australia, HunterNet Co-operative, Austmine, and Tech Council of Australia.
Investment NSW led by executive director Karla Lampe, highlighted the growing collaboration opportunities in the bilateral space with Gujarat as a sister state with NSW.
This secured bi-partisan support with NSW Parliament Member co-hosts, Ms Julia Finn MP and Scott Farlow MLC also commemorating the sister state relationship.
We thank Grant Thornton for their support.
