AIBC hosts NASSCOM delegation in NSW

AIBC hosted a high-level NASSCOM delegation to NSW,  which was led by Shivendra Singh, NASSCOM’s Vice-President and Head of Global Trade Development. NASSCOM is the apex industry body for India’s USD 245 billion information technology industry. 

AIBC was pleased to support and join the MOU signing ceremony between the Department of Enterprise, Investment and Trade of NSW, NASSCOM and Business NSW, leveraging the Australia-India Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement (AI-ECTA) and the newly launched International Landing Pad facility at the Sydney Startup Hub.

Indian technology companies, and firms in NSW will receive accelerated access to each other’s markets as part of the new agreement that aims to synergise economic cooperation between India and Australia. 

AIBC also hosted a business and industry roundtable with the NASSCOM delegation, identifying targeted opportunities in the Australian market to partner and formulate market entry strategies to service industry and government sectors including local government and Indigenous, First-Nation led partnering opportunities.

AIBC was also pleased to co-host the NASSCOM delegation at the Consulate General of India, with the Consul General, Shri. Janakiraman Sarvesvaran for a business networking session that included members of industry, trade, business and diaspora leaders.

Irfan Malik (MAICD) Malik, National Associate Chair and President AIBC NSW reflected on the bi-lateral opportunities in the emerging tech sector including in regional NSW.

AIBC is actively engaged in supporting NASSCOM as a key industry partner in ongoing bi-lateral initiatives in the technology and innovation sectors.
