The board of directors of AIBC have inducted Jim Varghese, immediate past national chair as an AIBC life member.
Life membership is an exceptional and unique honour conferred by AIBC’s board on an accomplished individual who has made a tangible impact on the trade relationship between Australia-India. It recognises Jim’s invaluable and long-standing contributions to the bilateral business relationship and the stellar role he has played at AIBC.
Jim is currently the Chancellor of Torrens University and Chair of the Springfield Group. He is an active leader of the Indian diaspora In Queensland and the chair of the Gandhi Salt March Company. Jim is a former senior public servant and is regularly invited to assist on high-level engagements with the federal and state governments.
