Over 300 business leaders from India, Australia and the world came together for the 2023 Horasis India Meeting in Adelaide on 26-27 November 2023. AIBC is thankful to Frank-Jürgen Richter, Team Horasis and the co-hosts Confederation of Indian Industry, Business SA and INVEST SA, for the opportunity to share our insights at the global meet.
Irfan Malik (MAICD), Associate National Chair and NSW State President, chaired the session on “Learning to manage the energy transition”, focussing on the shift to renewables, while Deepa Mathew (MBA), SA State President was a panelist on a session on “Accelerating the State of Digitalization Post COVID.”
The two-day meeting focused on fostering cooperation, impact investing, clean energy critical minerals and sustainable development. Of particular interest was the facilitation of meetings with Indian innovators and entrepreneurs to explore beneficial new ventures, using Adelaide as a hub to invest in Australia and the Asia-Pacific.
It was great to hear great insights from the Hon Minister of Trade & Investment, Govt of SA, Nick Champion on his recent successful trip to India and increased level of bi-lateral engagement planned by the SA Govt to accelerate on trade & investment opportunities especially across the “sunrise sectors”.
