AIBC’s First Nations Roadmap 2023-26 launched

The Australia India Business Council launched our First Nations Roadmap in Sydney on 21 November at the 2023 NSW Australia India Address and Gala Dinner.

The roadmap is a culmination of consultations held over a year with over 150 stakeholders from Indigenous businesses, Indigenous peak bodies, government agencies and India-facing businesses. It presents AIBC’s priorities and actions for 2023-26.

There is much to be learned by Australia and India about our cultures and ways of doing business. This roadmap is our commitment to being part of the education journey, as we recognise and celebrate Australia’s First Nations’ peoples, their history, and their place in trade and economy. Jodi McKay, National Chair

The roadmap received a warm reception from attendees including Senator the Honorable Don Farrell (Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment of Australia), Dr Andrew Charlton MP (Member for Parramatta), and senior officials from the Centre for India Australia Relations, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Investment NSW, and numerous companies from the private, public, academic and Indigenous sectors.

We look forward to the implementation phase and welcome interest from our partners and members.
