Macadamias and more at Brisbane Diwali Dinner

Diwali is a time to celebrate with family, friends, and community. Our Diwali Networking Dinner in Brisbane on 16 November  2023 was a big success with over 70 people present – many of them in colourful traditional attire to celebrate the spirit of the occasion.

Several new AIBC members, including senior representatives from government such as Austrade, Trade and Investment Queensland, Redland City Council, Australian universities, resources, agriculture, professional services were represented at the gathering. We are immensely grateful to Mrs Archana Singh, Honorary Consul General for India in Queensland for her presence and continuing support of the Indian diaspora and the AIBC.

A big thank you to our event partners, Parsram Foods Pty Ltd and the Australian Macadamia Society. A highlight of the evening was the special diwali token of macadamia nuts for all participants.

The evening also included talks from Bhoomi Punj, Director Parsram Foods, Clare Hamilton-Bate, CEO Australian Macadamias where they underscored their partnership with India. Wade Ostreicht of the Redland City Council talked about their upcoming delegation to India for the Vibrant Gujarat and Tamil Nadu Investment Summits.
