Melbourne Diwali Gala at iconic car museum

In a celebration of cultural unity and business camaraderie, our Diwali Gala Dinner in Melbourne successfully convened over 100 people, representing our members, veterans and senior government representatives, held at the iconic Linfox Car Museum. 

Our Victoria president, Rob Thomason, CEO Vetassess, led the evening presentations welcoming VIP guests and AIBC members The Consul General of India, Sushil Kumar delivered the keynote address and was joined by Matthew Guy, Member of Parliament, Victoria. A special award was presented to Mr DD Saxena, Managing Director at Riverina Oils & BioEnergy for his excellent contribution to the business community.   

Guests were treated to a vibrant evening filled with traditional Diwali decorations, cultural performances, and a sumptuous feast showcasing the diverse flavors of Indian cuisine. The event was made more special by traditional Bharatnatyam dance performances by Natyalayaa Dance School under guidance of their guru Ms Ushanthini Sripathmanathan.

The event not only celebrated the Festival of Lights but also showcased the potential for strengthened business relations between Australia and India against the backdrop of Melbourne’s automotive heritage.
