Our Australia-India Address at the Adelaide Oval on 28 September 2023, held in partnership with the Department for Trade and Investment, Government of South Australia (SA), met with an overwhelming response. The Hon Nick Champion, SA’s Minister for Trade and Investment, delivered the keynote address, where he provided rich insights on the ongoing and future trade prospects between Australia and India.
With over 50 people gathered in the Adelaide Oval’s SACA Committee room, there was tremendous energy to find new opportunities for growth the Australia-India corridor. Diverse sectors were represented, including education, space, agri, defence, nuclear and film. Participants have continued to write to AIBC for several days following the session, deeply appreciating the event.
Another highlight of the afternoon was the cross-industry panel discussion comprising eminent panellists such as Andrew Kay, CEO, Business SA; Brian Hayes KC, Board Member, South Australian Film Corporation; Ben Gibson, CEO, Fox Creek Wines, Joseph Ebbage, Market Development Manager, Almond Board of Australia and Michael Sharpe, Founding Director of the AUKUS Forum .
