Queensland

The AIBC Queensland Chapter is the state’s leading business council focused on advancing Australia–India trade and investment engagement. The Chapter maintains strong strategic partnerships with Trade and Investment Queensland (TIQ), the Consulate General of India in Brisbane, and Business Chamber Queensland, ensuring close collaboration between government, industry and business.

Queensland’s AIBC membership base is diverse and growing, encompassing local councils, airports and ports, universities, peak industry bodies, professional services firms, Australian and Indian corporates, and diaspora-led businesses. This breadth reflects Queensland’s expanding economic links with India and the Chapter’s role as a key connector across sectors.

The Chapter is focused on enabling members to gain practical insights, market intelligence and meaningful connections to strengthen Queensland–India commercial outcomes. Its activities align with Queensland’s priority sectors, including resources, agriculture and agtech, education, and increasingly sports and sports technology, particularly in the lead-up to the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

AIBC Queensland has a strong track record of delivering high-impact flagship events, roundtables and networking programs, hosting more than ten major initiatives in 2025 alone. These events have featured senior leaders including the Queensland Premier, state ministers, governors, senior Indian government representatives and industry leaders. In 2025, the Chapter also facilitated the first-ever visit to Brisbane by Invest India leadership, further strengthening bilateral engagement.

Led by an experienced Management Committee, the AIBC Queensland Chapter continues to play a central role in connecting businesses, supporting investment and deepening Queensland’s engagement with India.
