Women leaders’ roundtable in Melbourne

Women leaders from science, investment, education, films, art and culture joined our roundtable discussion in Melbourne on 7 June. The discussion explored avenues for collaboration in various sectors, ranging from business and technology to education and social initiatives. 

The session was facilitated by Ravneet Pawha, National Vice-Chair; Rob Thomason, Victoria State Chair and Reet Phulwani, State Committee Member and lead for the Women in Business forum in Victoria.

The participants included Sally Curtain CEO, Bendigo Kangan Institute; Michelle Wade, Commissioner – South Asia for Global Victoria;  Lisa Singh, CEO, Australia India Institute; Rohini Kappadath, General Manager at Immigration Museum, Museums Victoria;  Mitu Bhowmick Lange AM, the noted Australian Indian film-maker, Dr Onisha Patel, researcher at  Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research (WEHI) and Dr Mamta Chauhan, Group Manager, Skills Recognition – VetAssess.   

The discussion explored avenues for collaboration in various sectors, ranging from business and technology to education and social initiatives.  Other areas which were discussed included support for women business leaders working across Australia-India corridor and identifying and promoting role models. 

Participants deeply valued the session for fostering meaningful connections and facilitating exchange of ideas.
